Sunday, July 25, 2010 5:37 PM   Term 3 week 1 Learning LogMonday We had a long break of holiday. Literature was resumed as per normal. Mr Chua told us about the chapters we must learnt for our CA2 and SA2[EOY]. This also includes our Shakespeare performance for our SA2[EOY]. Mr Chua then told us about our Shakespeare performance. We were then separated into groups such as Alpha,Bravo,Charlie and so on. I am in Alpha. My group members are Pei Qing, Regine, Syafiq, Amy, Zheng Xue, Pei Qi, Er Wei Sheng, Daryl, Afrina and Soo Wei Sheng. There are total of 11 production role. I wanted to be under the wardrobe or wardrobe supervisor but most of my team members already put my name under the acting which I don't really like it. We then chose to take Romeo and Juliet as it seems more easy and the dialog that the actors and actress must remember isn't that long. I'm kind of nervous as I had to act up as Juliet and I'm not that good in acting and also I'm not sure whether I could remember the dialog that I must remember. I think that nothing is impossible if I put in my best into it so does my team members. After that, Mr Chua gave us a piece of homework about the meaning of the production role that we must find in the internet and we are required to hand it up on the day Mr Chua told us to. Thursday We started about Elvis Presley. Before that, we got a set of paper about Elvis Presley. Mr Chua then introduced to us about the Elvis Presley. I already heard about Elvis before but not that much. Elvis Presley is an American singer which also had a nickname as 'The King of Rock and Roll'. He was charismatic and dynamic and his live shows were some of the first ever to make audiences scream hysterically. From that, I knew he was a famous singer during that time. His marriage with Priscilla Beaulieu failed due to some reasons and he died a bloated and depressed drug-addict surrounded by sleazy cronies in his Graceland mansion. He died on 1977, aged 42. He also had a daughter Lisa Marie who years later was briefly married to Michael Jackson but then didn't last long due to some reasons too. I'm a fan of Michael Jackson actually. Overall I think that he would be able to live longer if he had not been addicted to drugs. I also think that he didn't took the drugs with his own please but he might have face some problems that really depressed him. I guess that's it for the lessons. |
