Monday, July 26, 2010 4:16 PM     Term 3 Week 5 Learning Log Monday We had our Literature lesson as per normal. Before that, Mr Chua called up some people and lectured them about their assignments given that they might not have handed it up. After that, he distribute a piece of homework on Elvis Presley Scene 2. It must be handed in next Monday and put it in the tray given before the lesson start. Mr Chua then showed us the past videos that our senior did for their Shakespeare performances. Firstly he showed a video on Merchant of Venice. My opinions is that overall, it is not that bad but the speech is not that clear enough to hear. Next, Mr Chua showed us a video on Romeo and Juliet. My opinion is that the speech is clearly enough to be heard and the way they put up their acting, it is not boring to watch it. It's quite impressive. Overall, I think that all of us can do the performances well if we co-operate with each other and it's just the matter whether you want to do it or do not want. Thursday Basically, Mr Chua continued on the Elvis Presley scene 3. Some of us took down notes so that we could understand better for the story. Well, it is also being suggested by Mr Chua and it just up to us whether we want to jot it down or sitting there just listening to it. Anyway, its kind of sad to know that Elvis Presley is in a lot of pain as the ones he loved left him. It is also absolutely sad to know that when you are away from the ones you loved on some outstation kind of thing, and then the ones you loved passed away. This is what happened to Elvis Presley. He was in the US Army and he got to know that his mother passed away. He felt kind of regret. This is because he wasn't there. He wasn't there not just for the funeral but also being by his mother side at her very last moment of her life. I think that regretting at the first moment doesn't feel that much pain compared to regretting at the last moment. |
